I had already been introduced to plant-based dyeing in France, having taken a workshop in it together with my friend Nathalie. Subsequently, we delved deeper into it, searching for plants in the wild, harvesting, drying, and processing them to dye textiles. We tried out various techniques for a year and even gave workshops on the subject in 2025. It is addictive. When I went to Thailand in the winters, I got in touch with an Eco-Print studio called NokNoi. I worked with her several times using plants from Northern Thailand, such as teak, jackfruit, and lotus leaves. I learned to work on large formats with her. Now that I live in Chiang Rai permanently, I can work with her as often as I like—what a joy.
